Research-to-Story Sprint

Turn complex information into a story people can actually use.

A focused editorial engagement for companies with valuable knowledge, research, or expertise, but no clear narrative yet. I work across research, interviews, writing, and KR–EN adaptation to turn fragmented material into clear, credible content for the people who need to understand it.

This sits between research and conventional copywriting. The goal is to identify what is worth saying, to whom, and in what order.

Typical engagement: 1–2 weeks

Is this for you?

A Sprint may be a good fit when:

  • you have research but no clear story
  • an executive has expertise worth turning into thought leadership
  • an interview needs to become a publishable article
  • a case study is more complicated than a simple success story
  • a brand needs clearer language to explain what it does
  • Korean content needs to work naturally for an international audience
  • you know what you want to say, but not how to structure it

What you’ll get

Publication-ready content, shaped around the communication problem rather than a fixed word count. Depending on the piece, that might be:

  • a thought-leadership article or research-based editorial
  • an executive or founder interview
  • a company, industry, or case-study feature
  • a brand narrative or messaging framework
  • website narrative and copy, or campaign messaging
  • a Korean–English (or English–Korean) adaptation

Optional publishing package: the final story can also arrive ready to publish, with alternative headlines, an excerpt, meta description, tags, LinkedIn copy, a short teaser, image captions, and bilingual publishing copy.

What I take off your plate

From raw material to final copy, I can manage as much of the process as you need:

  • Material review: reports, decks, transcripts, internal notes, press releases, prior articles, brand guidelines, founder or executive materials
  • Supplemental research: targeted work to add context, verify claims, or strengthen the story
  • Interviews: with executives, founders, employees, customers, or specialists, to surface what isn’t in the written material
  • Editorial direction: identifying the strongest angle rather than reproducing the source
  • Writing & editing: shaped for the intended audience, channel, and voice
  • KR–EN adaptation: each language version adapted for its readers rather than translated word for word

How it works

1 · Understand the audience. Who needs to read this, why it’s being created, what the reader should remember, where it will live, and whose voice it should carry.

2 · Audit the material and find the angle. I sort what you have into confirmed facts, claims that need checking, useful evidence, quotes, missing information, and possible editorial directions. When several stories are possible, I recommend the strongest one before drafting. For larger projects, an outline can be approved first.

3 · Research, interview, and build the narrative. Only the research the chosen story needs. The piece is then structured around a clear progression — for example, context → problem → evidence → insight → implication — rather than a pile of information.

4 · Draft, verify, and refine. The draft is fact-checked against the source material, with particular attention to names, titles, dates, figures, and quotes. Your feedback is consolidated into one revision round before the final version.

Optional digital extension

  • Story Microsite: selected editorial projects can extend beyond a document or webpage into a standalone digital experience, such as a campaign microsite, interactive case study, report landing page, or multimedia story. I lead the research, narrative, content architecture, and client communication, and a trusted development partner handles the build.

The details

A standard Sprint includes scoping, material review, editorial direction, necessary supplemental research, writing and fact-checking, one consolidated revision round, final publication-ready copy, and minor factual or editorial corrections for 7–14 days after delivery.

The format is chosen around the communication problem, and pricing follows scope rather than word count. The scoping conversation is free. Major changes to the agreed angle, audience, format, or scope after drafting may require an additional fee.

Why work with me

Because turning expertise into a story takes both editorial judgement and research you can stand behind.

I bring together two things that usually live in different people: the research discipline of B2B market intelligence and the craft of editorial storytelling — across Korean and English.

  • Editorial and journalism background
  • Experience in B2B market intelligence and research for cross-border markets
  • Native-level Korean and English — work adapted for each audience, not translated word for word
  • Comfortable working directly with executives, founders, and specialist material

The result: research that holds up, and writing people actually read.

Have the information, but not yet the story?

Send me what you have, exactly as it is. Even if it’s still scattered, that’s fine. We can start by working out what is actually worth saying.
